SPRING MOVEMENT OF REINDEER

Every spring, the Eira family moves their flock from Matvannet by Karasjok down to the coast here in Kokelv. All calving sites in Ravdoldalen are established distinctions among the Sims. The move goes over snow-capped mountains and icy water. Seeing hundreds of reindeer moving in this way is a great sight and an enormous experience. Together with the Eira family, you can spend a day experiencing this up close. You relax in your own lavvo when the reindeer stand still and need rest.

On the snowmobile you can follow them all the way and you have to spend the night or rest.
